So you want to adopt a Beagle? Great! Beagles
are a fun, lively breed that make a wonderful addition to
a loving, nurturing family. To learn more about beagles and

Adopting a dog from SoAZBR involves a few steps:
(1) Please fill out an adoption application (link to application).
This helps us get to know you and to better match you with
a dog. (Please note: We require that all adopters have a fenced
yard.)
(2) A volunteer will visit with you and do a home visit. Beagles
can present unique challenges and the home visit helps us
to ensure that you and your home is beagle-ready! Also, the
home visit is a great time for you to get some one-on-one
time with an experienced volunteer that can answer your questions.
(3) Our volunteers will match you with the perfect dog! We
ask that adopters drive to the foster family's home or other
mutually agreeable place to pick up the new family member!
This helps out our foster families who already give so much
of their time and energy to rescue needy dogs.
SoAZBR's adoption fee range from $75 to $225, depending on
the age and special circumstances of the dog. These adoption
fees help pay for the healthcare, spay/neuter, and vaccinations
of the beagles we rescue. The adoption fee does not necessarily
cover SoAZBR’s cost to get a dog ready for adoption;
we rely on donations to cover the rest!
If, for whatever reason, you are no longer able to keep your
SoAZBR dog, PLEASE contact us. We will take back any SoAZBR
dog!
