We understand that this can be a very difficult and emotional decision.
Before you give up your beagle, please consider
ways that you might keep him.....
Here are some great articles that might help
you:

If you truly feel that you must give up your
beagle, we may be able to find your dog a
loving forever home. Because foster home space is severely
limited, we generally ask the family surrendering their dog
to care for it until a suitable foster/forever home can be
found. If this is not possible, we will almost always accept
your dog into our rescue.
SoAz Beagle Rescue rigorously promotes and practices a "No-Kill"
philosophy. Due to the sheer number of animals received, most
govenment run and other large shelters must employ a euthanasia
policy. Good quality dogs with no phyiscal or behaviorial
problems may have as many as two to six weeks to be adopted.
Stray animals are usually afforded a few extra days before
being moved to the adoptable list to give their families an
opportunity to find them. However, owner "turn-ins", especially
those animals over five years of age, or who show obvious
"unadoptable characteristics" have a very short life expectancy
because no one will be looking for them... or at them.
We offer an option that guarantees your dog
will live out his or her natural life in a family home environment
where they will be loved and very well cared for.
To help us defray expenses and facilitate our being able to
rescue more dogs, we request a very modest $25
donation. This modest donation covers about 20% of the average
cost of preparing a dog for adoption, and is 100% tax deductable.
Of course, we also gladly accept larger donations because
those dogs with "unadoptable characteristics"will
most likely never leave foster care, and SoAZBR will pay their
expenses for the rest of their lives.
